Effective July 21, 2026
Community Guidelines
These rules apply to every profile, message, friend request, photo, and video call.
Lead with respect
- Use kind, clear language.
- Respect different communication styles, response times, support needs, identities, cultures, and boundaries.
- A friend request or video invitation may be declined without explanation.
Protect privacy
- Keep conversations inside Autism and Friends until trust is established and it is safe to do otherwise.
- Do not post or request phone numbers, email addresses, social handles, passwords, home or school addresses, exact locations, financial information, or government identifiers.
- Do not screenshot, download, share, or record another member's photos, messages, or video without clear permission. Video recording is not provided by the app.
Content that is never allowed
- Nudity, sexual content, grooming, exploitation, or requests for sexual images.
- Threats, self-harm encouragement, graphic violence, bullying, stalking, blackmail, hate, or discrimination.
- Scams, payment requests, spam, malware, impersonation, illegal goods, or attempts to move around a block or suspension.
Friend and video safety
- Only mutually accepted friends can message or video chat.
- Teen and adult community spaces are separate.
- Teen video calls require a fresh guardian approval.
- Leave a call immediately if anything feels wrong. Block the member and submit a report with the clearest details you can safely provide.
How enforcement works
Automated checks can block unsafe messages and photos before publication. Member reports enter a restricted moderation queue. Depending on severity and history, action may include a warning, content removal, connection removal, temporary restriction, account suspension, preservation of evidence, or referral to appropriate authorities when legally required.
